Apps for EYFS

The following is a list of some of the apps that have been installed on the school iPads to assist the Reception children in all areas of their EYFS curriculum.

	Twinkl Phonics Suite A MUST HAVE app to consolidate phonics learning. Phases 1 to 5 are included in the Phonics Suite.
	Jolly Phonics App This app is designed to work alongside the Jolly Phonics programme and is suitable for age 3 upwards. It is particularly tailored towards schools, provided flower pots for each child so they can work through their phonics sounds at their own pace.
	Hairy Letters UK Phonics! Another lovely UK phonics app. I love the animations on this app and so do the children. Very appealing!
	Mr Thorn Does Phonics UK Phonics! There are so many Phonics apps in the app store with American phonics sounds, lovely apps but not helpful at all to our children who are learning UK phonics sounds. This app however is perfect, and he even has a website which links to the app for consistency with Interactive Whiteboard use.
	Little Digits Lovely counting and simple addition/subtraction app for young children. Simply press the screen and the app will recognise how many fingers and show a number.
	My Playhome A doll house for the iGeneration! A wonderfully engaging interactive doll house which will keep children entertained for a long time!
	Pocket Zoo Wonderfully wild portable zoo, complete with real time animals videos from zoo web cams.
	Pettsons Inventions 1 This app is so great. Reception children love to use it and even the Year 6's enjoy it for some time! Help Mr Pettson by dragging objects onto the screen to make the invention work.
	Pettson's Inventions 2 More fun with Mr Pettson and his inventions.
	Toca Hair Salon 2 Many any hair style you want with this fun app. Choose from six different characters and play away. Take a picture of your finished creation.
	Toca Doctor Let the children be the doctor for the day! Examine patients and play puzzles and mini games that take place inside the body!
	Toca Cars Roads? What roads?! Have fun in the car and drive wherever you like! Fly off jumps into a lake, or through big puddles of ice cream! You can even make your own jumps to use!
