Apps for Presentations

The following is a list of some of the apps that have been installed on the school iPads to assist the children with their presentation skills.
Pages
This app comes pre installed on any new iPads and is an essential app for any word processed documents children need to make on an iPad. Templates include reports, letters, flyers and posters, cards and newsletters or you can choose a blank document and design whatever you like!
Explain Everything
This app can be used from Reception all the way to secondary! It can be used as an interactive whiteboard, to create slide presentations or demonstrate knowledge and understanding. Add drawings, photographs, videos, even web browsers. Record your voice and save as a video.
Prezi
This app is a basic version of the online presentation tool Prezi. It allows children to make dynamic presentations that push Powerpoint into history! It is a very easy to use app and children from year 4 onwards thoroughly enjoy using this app to create some fantastic presentations to demonstrate their learning.
Haiku Deck
Another lovely presentation app. This app is very basic and has similar traits to Microsoft Powerpoint. Create a simple slide presentation and add text and photographs. A lovely app to use on the iPads for years 3 and above.
Popplet
This is a simple mind mapping app which is excellent for years 2 upwards, although years 5 and 6 may want to use a slightly more challenging app. Create simple mind maps and add your own pictures and colour schemes to make your work look amazing!
SimpleMind
A more detailed mind mapping app more suited to years 5 and 6.

Skitch
This app is so simple to use! Select a picture from your camera roll and use basic labelling tools such as text boxes and arrows to label your arrow. Our Year 1 children particularly love using this app to label constructions they have created and taken photographs of.

Timeline 3D
This is a wonderful creative way for children to create and understand timelines. Insert dates, pictures, videos and information to create interactive timelines that come to life at the touch of a button!
