Apps for Teachers

The following is a list of some of the apps that have been installed on the school iPads to assist teachers and assistants 

	Showbie The app for the paperless classroom! Assign, collect, review and provide written feedback or voice recordings. This app is compatible with hundreds of different apps and your students can share creative work with you instantly. An excellent app to use for upper KS2.
	Socrative Teacher Engage your class with this excellent app. Create formative assessments in the form of quizzes, quick question polls and space races. Best of all - view the results instantly. Socrative can be used on a mobile device or computer so you can create these assessments on your laptop if you prefer!
	Socrative Student Students use this app to join your "class" to access the assessment tool you wish them to use.
	Nearpod This app allows you to control content on student's iPads. Once they join your lesson, the use of your iPad determines what they can see on their iPad screen. No need to create new material and you can insert various documents you have already created. Assessment tools are built in to this app and you can see student's results in real time.
	Team Shake Ever wanted to quickly assign partners or groups in class? Ever wanted to randomly select one of your students? Use this app! Create classes, write the names of your students and any details about them you want to include (gender, ability). Choose number of teams or number of children in a team and shake it up!
	Class Dojo Provide your class with instant positive encouragement during class. Customise behaviours and allocate points for students. You can even provide reports of student progress to parents.
