Apps for Creativity

The following is a list of some of the apps that have been installed on the school iPads to assist the children with their creativity.

	Drawing with Carl A lovely drawing app for young children. Draw, add stickers and get creative with mirror images. Add funny images that make silly sounds!
	Doodlecast Very simple drawing app that records your voice whilst you draws. You can then watch the drawing back and listen to what you said. An excellent tool to enhance speaking, listening and understanding and a great tool for teachers to record children's understanding.
	Drawing Pad Create fantastic digital artwork using this app. There are a variety of different drawing tools, with many different styles and colours. Insert photographs and images from your camera roll. Add stickers and text. Save to your camera roll or print directly. An excellent app for any age.
	Pic Collage A very easy to use collage app. Insert photographs, move and resize to place them anywhere on the screen. Add colourful backgrounds, interesting writing, stickers and save your collage to your camera roll. Suitable for all age groups - Year 1 children can use this independently.
	Sumo Paint An iPad version of the popular SumoPaint website. This app allows children to create amazing digital art. The symmetry tool is a particular favourite of the children!
	Do Ink An absolutely fantastic drawing and animation app. This easy to use app uses flip book style animation which means it is easy for younger children to use yet create brilliant results.
	iDraw Excellent graphic design app. Get creative with KS2 children by producing detailed drawings of rooms and maps. Many different features to create detailed, technical drawings.
	Chatterpix Kids  This app can make ANYTHING talk! Simply choose a picture from your camera roll, draw a line for the mouth, record yourself speaking, let the app animate it for you and save the video to your camera roll. Suitable for EYFS and KS1.
	Morfo 3D Face Booth  A slightly more advanced version of Chatterpix Kids. Choose a photograph or picture, draw around the eyes, nose, mouth and face and then record the picture speaking! Try it on animals - it's great!
	Puppet Pals HD Director's Pass Create actors from pictures within the app or your own photographs. Choose a selection of background images (again either from within the app or your own). Insert your characters and record! An excellent app for story telling and creativity within literacy.
	iMovie Create and edit videos. Insert text, add voiceovers and background music. Create movie trailers, photo albums and much more. An essential app for KS2.
	Tellagami   Choose a background picture (or draw your own), customise the "Gami" and type or record what you want it to say. Save your video to your camera roll. An excellent animation app to explain or reflect on your work.
	Videoscribe Create an animation using a huge library of pre-drawn pictures. Insert text and music and choose your special effects to create truly unique animations. A very easy to use app suitable for KS2.
